Alien: Romulus Timeline – When It Takes Place Compared To The Other Movies

Alien: Romulus serves as the third installment in the Alien franchise following the premieres of Alien in 1979 and Aliens in 1986, but despite the long wait between the second and third films, the upcoming movie's place on the timeline is somewhat confusing.
